All Citizans Lose When Idiots Fight

Are all “republicans” idiots or are there just a few republican idiots who have been elected to national government positions. Once again in the recent budget and debt limit fight, republicans snatched defeat from the jaws of victory in just a few weeks. Multiple groups of republican leaning politicians would rather be “right” than win policy battles and elections. This “righteousness” is likely to result in even more democratic victories. The idiocy is in the form of republicans calling other republicans nasty names and laying blame on each other for problems mostly caused by democrats. So long as republicans continue their idiocy, democrats can easily justify “name calling,” half-truths, and outright lies that the general public then believes.

A more rational strategic approach is for ALL republicans to stop the “names and blames” of fellow republicans. Instead republicans should point out that they have many problem solving ideas and that debating different ideas is the best way to evolve good solutions.

The antics of the so-called republican in name only (RINOs) such as Sen. John’s recent rant against Tea Party republicans must stop. Conversely, Tea Party and other conservatives must change their focus to winning elections not simply trumpeting a principle and trashing those they call RINOs.

The Obama Administration, most democrats, and most of the media have been playing and winning using “Chicago politics,” i.e., constantly “name calling” and making claims based on half-truths or outright lies. All republicans must unite and counter attack. Every republican should carry a list of the “names and blames” democrats have used. Every time a liberal/progressive (socialist) democrat makes a “spend and tax more” claim and lists people who will suffer without more government spending, they must be labeled as socialists who are willing to financially rape our young and yet unborn to support their greed and need for power. The democrats will squeal loudly at being call out as socialists (the truth hurts!), but when they do, use examples from the “names and blames” list to remind them and the public that democrats have called republicans “traders,” Nazis, KKK and worse. Then point out why the democrats’ policies are socialistic or communistic.

Our Nation needs to have balanced republican/democrat debates. The republicans just might win a few more policy debates and races for public offices if they stop acting like idiots and start working together. More citizens will support a strategically smart set of republicans but few will support a loosing set of idiots. The debt and budget battles early in 2014 will be determined by how well the republicans control their idiocies. If you agree let your (republican) representatives know.
