Why and How “We the People” Must Reclaim our Liberties Now
By L. Lynn Cleland, Ph.D.
It is the duty of every citizen according to his best capacities to give validity to his convictions in political affairs. – Albert Einstein
          American history shows us that there has always been a struggle among citizens regarding the best direction for our nation. This struggle, however, has become more intense in recent decades, resulting in divergent approaches to addressing our most pressing issues. L. Lynn Cleland, Ph.D. says today’s America is not what our Founding Fathers had in mind when they promised “Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness”…and he has the research to prove it.
           Dr. Cleland, author of Save Our System: Why and How “We the People” Must Reclaim Our Liberties Now, created this hard-hitting political ‘textbook’ as a must-read for all Americans who are concerned about our nation’s future.
          “In recent decades our political system has been redesigned by and for career politicians who also control the system. Maintaining their careers and gaining power has been the focus for their redesign and that system is now failing us,” explains Dr. Cleland. “It’s time to grab some ‘knowledge weapons,’ use our ballots and begin firing those politicians who are serving themselves rather than ‘we the people’.”
          Save Our System is not a diatribe against any one political party, but describes our nation’s key systemic problems and their causes, evolution, solutions, and actions we can use to return our nation to its underlying principles. Packed with real-life examples, sound research, riveting predictions, and practical solutions Save Our System skillfully brings together four interlinked topics:
·      Career Politicians:  the key cause of most of our nation’s problems. The tactics and tricks politicians use to scare, mislead, seduce and manipulate voters;
·      Government systems that are near failure or have significant discrepancies (i.e. healthcare, our economy, education, employment and the media);
·      Political leadership and parties that aggravate problems rather than solve them
·      Offering non-violent war-like strategies and actions to empower citizens to take back their liberties
          Save Our System is more than just an S.O.S. cry in the night. It’s a primer on restoring balance by returning our country to the principals on which our nation was founded.
          “Our first major battles took place in 2010, but we must continue the fight to 2012, 2014, and well beyond,” adds Dr. Cleland, “and to do that we must ‘go back to the future.’”
Dr. L. Lynn Cleland has a broad range of life experiences to draw upon as a writer: operations manager, research leader, university professor, and farmer.  Each role and landscape has provided him with a rich background about people and system dynamics.  After a thriving forty-year career in complex systems engineering and operations management, Cleland decided to apply his professional knowledge to his growing personal concerns about our nation.  Dr. Cleland received his Ph.D. in engineering from Purdue University.
